Birds

 

Each bird is made out of a Cone 6-Porcelain clay body and hand built.  I form each piece from a solid block of clay, create details and textures with hand tools and then hollow them out.  The layers of mason stain and glazes allow me to utilize the glaze like painting with watercolor on paper.
